In recognition of mental illness awareness week Oct 5 through Oct 11, the event:

Lives Affected by Mental Illness presented by NAMI the National Alliance on Mental Illness Alameda County and Hosted by Pathway Community Church, Fremont Ca will be conducted on Tuesday evening Oct 5, 2010 starting at 7:00pm.

At the event you will hear the stories of those dealing with a mental illness both from persons with a mental illness and from caregivers for someone with a mental illness. Following the telling of their stories, there will be an opportunity for questions and answers around their life experiences with the illness. However, not being clinicians, they will not be able to answer clinical questions at the event.

Their will be a reception following the event where coffee and dessert will be available. Resource materials will be available both before the event and at the reception.
